Diorama "Crash landing on Hoth"

This diorama shows a TIE Fighter that has made an emergency landing on a patch of snow-covered terrain after encountering enemy forces. The damage on the right panel was created with a drill and a hot nail tip and then lightly touched up with brush painting and airbrush. The fuselage received significant weathering by pre-shading, pinwashing and brush painting. The base consists of a rigid foam board coated with glue and then sprinkled with baking soda.

I was lucky to get a kit from an early release. These kits included an additional standing pilot as a full figure that was replaced by a flat silhouette in later releases.
